Kerry Morgan is a partner in firm and has dedicated her practice to representing injured and disabled people.  In the past decade, Kerry has represented hundreds of clients in social security disability claims (SSD & SSI) and personal injury claims, including car accidents and nursing home abuse.

Kerry recently recognized a growing need for representation of men and women who sustained disabling injuries and diseases while serving our country.   Thus, she has expanded her practice to include representation of Veterans seeking disability benefits through the United States Veterans Administration.

It is no surprise that Kerry’s practice is focused on the injured and disabled.  Growing up in a small town, Kerry’s parents and teachers instilled in her a strong work ethic and taught her to treat all people with dignity and respect.   These values have impacted her legal practice and are evident in the personal, caring, and respectful service she and her staff provide to her clients.

As Kerry’s practice has grown, so have her professional affiliations.  Kerry is currently a member of the American, Kentucky and Tennessee Bar Associations, as well as the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims Bar Association.  Additionally, she is licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the U.S. 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, the U.S. District Court Western District of Kentucky, Kentucky Supreme Court, and the Tennessee Supreme Court.

She is also a member of the National Association of Social Security Claimaints’ Representatives (NOSSCR), and the National Organization for Veterans Advocates (NOVA).

In addition to her practice, Kerry enjoys helping her community.  She has served on the boards of directors of Girls Inc. of Bowling Green (past president), Habitat for Humanity,  The Kentucky Financial Literacy Foundation (past president), the Noon Lions Club (vice president), and the Warren County Bar Association.  In 2006, the Kentucky Supreme Court appointed Kerry to the Kentucky Bar Association’s CLE Commission.

Additionally, Kerry is actively involved in the Kentucky Democratic Party.  She has served as vice chair and acting chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party, and currently holds the position of General Counsel.   Kerry was a voting member of the Democratic National Committee, and served as a delegate to the 2000 Democratic National Convention and a super-delegate to the 2004 convention.  In 2006, she was tapped for Governor Beshear’s transition team, and was also appointed by the governor to serve on Kentucky’s Commission for Women.

For her work in the community and beyond, Kerry was awarded the 2005 Gwyneth B. Davis Outstanding Public Service Award, which is presented by the Warren County Bar Association.

Kerry is a 1988 graduate of Henderson County High School.  In 1992 she graduated from Eastern Kentucky University, cum laude, with a degree in journalism. She received her law degree, cum laude, from Salmon P. Chase College of Law, Northern Kentucky University, 1996, and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Northern Kentucky Law Review.
